Delete Your MealWise Account

Option 1 — Delete inside the app (recommended)

1. Sign in to MealWise at joinmealwise.com/auth.
2. Open your Dashboard.
3. Scroll to the "Account" section and select "Delete account".
4. Read the on-screen warning and type DELETE to confirm.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, email support@joinmealwise.com from the address on your MealWise account with the subject "MealWise account deletion request". We will verify your identity and complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Profile, household, and family-member records (including information you entered for minors).
• Meal plans, planned meals, favorites, liked meals, shopping cart.
• Food journal entries and any uploaded journal photos.
• Weight-tracker history, BMI inputs, health goals, dietary conditions, allergies.
• Adherence logs and app activity linked to your account.
• Affiliate click records associated with your account.
• Your Supabase Auth login (so you can no longer sign in).
• Any active Stripe subscription is cancelled immediately.

What we retain (and why)

• Anonymized cancellation records — retained without your identity for product and financial analysis.
• Payment and webhook logs from Stripe — retained as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.
• Aggregated / de-identified usage metrics — retained where they cannot be linked back to you.

Nothing retained after deletion can be used to sign you back in or contact you.

Timing

In-app deletion is immediate. Email requests are completed within 30 days after we verify the request.
